Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation (“NSF” or “Foundation”), which will act as the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected under this programme, is a company incorporated under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (now deemed to be a company incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 read with Section 465(2)(g) of the Companies Act, 2013). This programme is open for final-year engineering students from seventeen selected colleges in the Mumbai region. The intent of NSF is to encourage and support students who are persons resident in India and citizens of India and who have the potential to excel in their chosen field of education, and to encourage them to be a part of a highly skilled pool of talent for the benefit of India.
We may collect and process personal data as is reasonably necessary. This may include your name, date of birth/age, address, contact number, educational information, parent and sibling details, photographs, videos and audio recordings. We will not seek information that is not reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
Kindly be assured that all this information will be kept confidential and secure. The information will be used to monitor the progress of the program, evaluate the program, conduct research, prepare reports, and understand the impact of the program on students. Except where you separately consent to the use of photographs, videos, audios as provided below, your name or identity will not ordinarily be disclosed in reports, research or publications of NSF. All the information will be used in aggregated, anonymised or de-identified form.
Information collected during the programme may be used by Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation and authorized representatives of the Foundation, auditors, professional advisers or authorities where disclosure is required for legal, audit or compliance purposes. The information will be used for programme implementation and outcomes reviews, monitoring the quality and effectiveness of our programmes; impact assessment; internal management reporting; audit, governance and compliance purposes, proposals, annual reports, social media, official websites and other communication channels and everything directly connected with providing the charitable programme to the child.
We may maintain limited information after completion of the programme for the purpose of maintaining an alumni database, communicating regarding alumni activities and assessing the longer-term impact of our programmes.
Apart from these purposes, the information will not be used for any other purpose unrelated to the program without your permission. If you do not agree to your photos or videos being used for publicity, or shared outside the programme, it will not affect your participation in the programme.
All information and records will be stored securely and used in accordance with applicable ethical and data protection requirements. Appropriate security measures will be taken to protect the information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. Personal data will not be processed in a manner likely to cause a detrimental effect on your well-being. Unauthorized persons will not be allowed to access, use, or share the information. Necessary care will be taken to prevent unauthorized changes to the information or its loss.
Information will be kept only for as long as necessary. Once there is no longer a legal requirement to retain the information, it will be securely destroyed in accordance with the applicable Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act/Rules and the organization’s policies.
